Oprah Winfrey’s recent refusal to have Governor Sarah Palin on her show before the 2008 election has exposed a truth many have suspected for a long time. Oprah Winfrey is a racist, and she has made that glaringly clear by using her show and celebrity to blindly campaign for Senator Barack Obama while rejecting the idea of allowing Governor Palin to appear on her show during the campaign.
Oprah portrays herself as an “every woman.” She presents herself as the voice of the women of America. So, with Governor Palin being only the second female Vice Presidential candidate on a major political ticket in the history of America, why would Oprah not have her on? Clearly, Palin would be an interesting interview. The episode would get incredible ratings and make a lot of money. So, why does Oprah not want Palin on her show?
The answer is simple: Governor Palin is White. An appearance on Oprah’s show would get votes for Palin and help her win. Even though, Palin is an excellent female role model, Oprah cannot allow her to win, because that might hurt her Black candidate. What if Governor Palin were a Black woman? You can be sure Oprah would have had Palin on the month she became Governor and would have had her on again the week she announced for VP.
Oprah wants a Black President, and Obama is her only hope at this point. If Barack Obama were White, do you think Oprah would be backing him so vigorously? There have been many candidates with Obama’s political positions. Has Oprah ever campaigned for one of them? Oprah does not care nearly as much about politics as she cares about race.
Oprah’s racism goes far beyond the political realm. Time and time again, we have seen Oprah celebrate the accomplishments of Black people while ignoring the accomplishments of Whites, Asians, Hispanics, Arabs, East Indians, American Indians, etc. Why is it that the appearances of Black actors on her show is disproportionate to the number of appearances by White actors? Sure, Oprah has White actors like Tom Cruise and Julia Roberts on her show, but how often do we see Oprah pay tribute to lives of Jamie Foxx and Angela Bassett? These stars are not equal in their successes, but you would never know that by seeing how they are treated by Oprah.
Even more ridiculous is the way Oprah worships Toni Morrison while ignoring much better writers of other races. If Toni Morrison where Asian, do you think Oprah would have had her on her show so many times?
Why does Oprah complain about the condition of schools in America, but she runs off to start schools in Africa? Bangladesh and Cambodia are terribly impoverished countries. Why does Oprah not do anything about their schools? Why does Oprah always talk about how difficult life is for Black children in poverty, but rarely mentions poor children from other races?
The evidence is clear. Oprah greatly favors her race over all other races. It is Oprah’s right to do this, but it does not mean she should not be exposed for what she is. Oprah Winfrey is a blatant racist. Not only is she a racist, Oprah Winfrey is the most famous racist in America.
