Empowerment Experiment a Bold Public Display of Blatant Racism

The Empowerment Experiment is a movement in which participants agree to patronize only Black-owned businesses. Participants in the program will avoid spending money at an establishment if the owner happens to be White, Latino, Asian, etc. Only if the owners are Black, will the Empowerment Experiment folks get out their wallets.

This is one of the largest and most open displays of racism in American in many years, and the media is practically praising it. For example, CBS ran a story on the news this morning about John and Maggie Anderson. The story followed the openly racist, Andersons as they traveled all over town seeking out and patronizing Black businesses exclusively. CBS barely addressed the racist facet of their activities and their movement.

Can you imagine if a White couple announced they were going to buy from only White-owned businesses and were going around in public and encouraging other Whites to do the same? CBS would never cover the story in a positive light. CBS might cover the story, but the angle would be "White Trash Hicks Get Racist with Their Wallets."

The Empowerment Experiment is completely racist and disgusting. People have a right to shop wherever they want to shop, but anyone who chooses to shop based on color should be ashamed of themselves. A civilized person shops where he gets good products and services at fair prices. Anyone shopping based on color is a sad, pathetic racist. Any reporter who reports on this sort of activity and ignores the racist implications is an intellectually dishonest hypocrite.
